Happy Doctors’ Day!
National Doctors’ Day is celebrated every year on March 30 to honor physicians for the many ways they serve our country—caring for patients, advancing research, teaching, and working to improve communities and society as a whole. The profession of medicine is comprised of our country’s best and brightest: men and women who exhibit knowledge, dedication, compassion, self-sacrifice, professionalism, and leadership on a daily basis.
This year, perhaps more than any in recent history, the profound impact of physicians’ service and sacrifice is on display for the world to see. Doctors are heroes in the truest sense, and it is a privilege to be a part of the UF COM community that our physicians lead.
In honor of their service, these cards were created for UF physicians by schoolchildren in Gainesville, to express gratitude for their continued commitment to caring for our community in the midst of a global pandemic.
