Strategies for Limiting and Addressing Back & Neck Pain for Surgeons

Options to address/prevent spine pain during and between surgeries, and general exercise tips to limit repetitive strain musculoskeletal diagnoses will be introduced in an interactive exercise class format. Spinal stabilization, endurance, mobility and flexibility exercises will emphasize alignment and options for integration into workout programs or within a normal workday.

Burnout, Addiction, and Suicide: A Reversible Downward Spiral

Recently, the scientific literature and popular media have highlighted the increasing problems of burnout, addiction, and suicide among physicians and other healthcare professionals. Drawing on her clinical expertise as both a psychiatrist and addiction medicine specialist, and her experiences as the medical director of two state programs for health professionals with potentially-impairing conditions, Dr. Polles will present reasons for hope and pathways to recovery.
