New Access to Physician Well-Being Index!

UFCOM Physicians now have access to an anonymous online tool to quickly/easily evaluate your current wellbeing, compare your score to peers, track your results over time, and confidentially access relevant resources to support your health and wellbeing.

“COVID-Safer” Social Activity Guide Now Available

In order to help you nurture relationships while staying safe in the midst of a global pandemic, the UF/GatorCare Wellness team has created a guide to local activities/establishments that promote socially-distant fun, a map of some restaurants with outdoor seating (organized by price range), virtual party game options, outdoor recreation sites, and more!

New Psychiatry Services for GatorCare Members

GatorCare members have new access to free confidential Psychiatry services. In response to feedback, GatorCare has expanded the contract with TalkSpace to include psychiatry services in addition to therapy services! Now you can take advantage of convenient telehealth visits (scheduled according to your availability) to obtain a psychiatric evaluation and/or ongoing medication management.

Aid-a Gator is an emergency fund that provides [aid-a-gator logo with palm tree and life raft] limited assistance to UF faculty, staff and students who experience a temporary financial hardship.

Free Mental Health Workshops

The UF Counseling and Wellness Center (CWC) offers free online mental health workshops for UF STUDENT, FACULTY, and STAFF. Workshops provide the opportunity to learn new skills to strengthen personal resilience, develop healthy self-care habits, and grow mental health awareness. No consultation or appointment is needed. Just RSVP and join at your convenience.

The University of Florida College of Medicine (UFCOM) Wellness Programs support the well-being of our trainees and faculty in order to promote optimal performance and professional fulfillment. We provide consultation and guidance to department chairs, division chiefs, program directors, and other leaders regarding ways to improve the culture of wellness within their units. We also work with multiple offices throughout the University of Florida to disseminate information regarding wellness resources and programs available to members of the UFCOM community.

A calendar of upcoming events sponsored by UF-UF Health Wellness is listed for your convenience, and the “Resources” tab includes a listing of programs and services available to assist you in working toward your personal wellness goals.

We encourage you to click on the “Wellness Rx” tab to complete a personalized wellness prescription and take the first step on your journey toward increased well-being and professional satisfaction.
